Product description
The Silver Kookaburra is a silver bullion coin originating from Australia, and produced at the Perth Mint starting in 1990. The coins were .999 fine silver until the 2018 edition, which increased in purity to .9999 silver. They also feature an annually changing kookaburra design which increases their value as collectables in comparison with some other bullion coins.As in previous years, one ounce coins will have a limited mintage (500,000), adding to their considerable appeal. The Silver Kookaburra notionally legal tender, that is a legal means of payment.
Front (Motif- or Mainside, Obverse (numismatics))
The reverse side changes every year, always featuring a Kookaburra, a native Australian bird that is a recognisable symbol of the country. The coin shows two Kookaburras perched on a wooden fence.
Back (Valueside, Reverse (numismatics))
The obverse of the coin always features Queen Elizabeth II and the monetary denomination.
