The Maple Leaf gold coin 2023 is one of the most popular bullion coins on the market. It is an official currency in Canada and has been minted since 1979. From 1982, their fineness was increased from 999 to 999.9 gold. This very beautiful coin was minted by the Royal Canadian Mint (RCM), which was founded as a branch of the British Royal Mint. After incorporation, it was placed under the supervision of the Minister of Finance of Canada.
The obverse of the Maple Leaf gold coin 2023 - the motif side, image or main side, obverse (numismatics) - is decorated with Canada's symbol, the maple leaf. The maple leaf is also the namesake from the English language "Maple Leaf". The fineness of the gold is 9999 on the left and right. Canada is written on the upper edge of the coin. Below we see 'Fine Gold' embossed in English and French '1 oz or Pur'. Additional security features have been added since 2015. In addition to the complex line structure, which was inserted in the background on the front and back, a smaller maple leaf with the last two of the respective year is shown under the large motif.
On the back - value side, reverse (numismatics) - the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II can be seen. This motif has been minimally changed and adapted over the years. At the top of the coin is the name Elizabeth. The denomination and the year of issue are stamped in the lower area. The 2023 Maple Leaf added the years of her reign – 1952 to 2022.
The Maple Leaf gold coin is also available in denominations of 1/2 oz ($20), 1/4 oz ($10), 1/10 oz ($5) and 1/20 oz ($1).
