1 Ounce silver Noah´s Ark 2023

The 1 ounce silver Noah's Ark has been issued by the Armenian Central Bank since 2011. It is produced by the Leipziger Edelmetallverarbeitungs GmbH. At the moment only silver coins in denominations of 1/4 ounce, 1/2 ounce, 1 ounce, 5 ounces, 10 ounces, 1 kg and 5 kg are issued. The motive is always the same.

The 1 oz silver coin has a fineness of 999/1,000 and weighs 31.10 g. The diameter is approx. 38.5 mm, the edge of the coin is ribbed. The face value of the 1 ounce Noah's Ark silver coin is 500 dram. 

Front

The front shows Noah's Ark with Mount Ararat and the sun in the background. A dove with an olive branch can also be seen on it, which symbolizes the end of the flood. Also, the name of the silver coin - Noah's Ark - is depicted on the edge of the coin in English and Armenian script.

Back 

The back shows the national coat of arms of the Republic of Armenia, the nominal value of 500 DRAM, the fineness of the silver of 999, the fine weight of 1 oz and the year of issue. The lettering - Republic of Armenia - is in English and Armenian.
