  • 1/10 Ounce Gold Lunar III Rabbit 2023

The upcoming issue of the twelve-part Lunar Series III series shows that we are in the Year of the Rabbit - Year of the Rabbit 2023. The coins change their motif annually and show the animal sign of the current year of the lunar calendar in Chinese astrology. The Chinese horoscope assigns a zodiac sign to each person: It is not the birthday that is decisive, but rather the year of birth. The 2023 edition of the series predicts the following qualities: Intelligence, creativity, alertness and compassion. The Lunar series from the mint of the Perth Mint in Australia is very popular with investors and collectors in Germany.

    Front

The design side of the 1/10 ounce gold coin of the Australia Lunar Series III Rabbit 2023 shows a jumping rabbit amidst grasses. As usual with the series, the animal's gaze goes to the side. To the left of the hare, at the level of its head, its Chinese character is embossed. A bit further to the left, hidden in the grass, we read the initials "IJ" - these stand for the designer Ing Jong. On the right half of the obverse, the P is still written, for the publisher Perth Mint.

    Back

On the value side is the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. This image was designed by Jody Clark. When the Perth Mint will adapt the design to King Charles, we can not say at this time. The Queen passed away on 08.09.2022 at the age of 96.
