1 oz Kangaroo 2025 Silver Coin

The first issue of the attractive 1 oz Kangaroo silver coin was in 2016. Based on the 1986 motif of the classic "Red Kangaroo", also known as the "Kangaroo Nugget", only a mintage of 300,000 was minted in the first year. In the following years, the production was unlimited. The kangaroo in silver quickly developed into a popular and inexpensive investment alternative to the Maple Leaf and the Vienna Philharmonic.

The design side shows the red giant kangaroo "Red Kangaroo", which was first seen on the kangaroo gold coins in 1990. The design features a leaping red giant kangaroo, or Red Kangaroo, surrounded by a wreath of stylized sunbeams against a frosted coin background. The name of the coin series "AUSTRALIAN KANGAROO" is embossed at the top of the optically contrasting edge area of the motif side, the mint mark of the Perth Mint "P" is embossed on the right and the respective year of minting as well as the metal details in the form of "1 Ounce 9999 Silver" are embossed in the lower hallmark.

The value side of the kangaroo silver coin 1 ounce shows the portrait of the British Queen Elizabeth II of the silver coin minted only in stamp gloss quality. The initials "IRB" at the neck end of the monarch refer to coin designer Ian Rank-Broadleys, who created the portrait. The inscription on the face of the coin consists of the words "ELIZABETH II", "AUSTRALIA" and the respective denomination. The image of the Queen is surrounded by wavy lines that together form a wide circle around the edge of the coin. On the Maple Leaf 2023, the years of her reign - 1952 to 2022 - have been added.
