The Perth Mint is the oldest and most active Mint in Australia, based in the city of Perth.
After the foundation in 1896 in 1899, the operation started as a department of the Royal Mint of London.
The Perth Mint operates its own goldsmith and refinery. Today, it manufactures a wide variety of precious metal products. Particularly well-known are the gold coin kangaroo, the succession coin of the well-known nugget as well as the Lunar series or the silver coin Kookaburra and Koala. The Perth Mint is certified according to LBMA and thereby guarantees the "London good delivery" standard.
Each minted bar comes housed in tamper-evident packaging which shows the word VOID around the edge of the blister if the card has been prized opened.

Front

On the front the card is charcoal-coloured with a dark, watermark-like image of the Mint’s stylised swan logo.

Back

On the back of the gold bar are the technical specification as well as the bar number and signature of the sworn assayer according to LBMA.
